Our Participation at the EICMA Exhibition in Milan

Our next stay was the Europe's largest motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. This exhibition aimed to present the FGR mark to the whole Europe, to call attention to our goals at the MOTO GP races and to show other steps with the Midalu motorcycle. It was a great experience for us because we went through a lot of interesting meetings for both of our projects. Among other things, we made an agreement with the Italian Barracuda company on cooperation and that by supplying accessories for our motorcycle, which will be exhibited at the January show in Genoa. The Motorcycle Midalu will be shown at the Italian company stand. This exhibition focuses on the famous motorcycle brands and also on the limited specials this will exclude the excess of Chinese products.

FGR MIDALU presented at prestigious international conference Autodesign Prague

FGR MIDALU motorcycle was presented during Stanislav Hanus lecture named Motorcycle Design in Scale at the prestigious design conference Autodesign Prague. Lecturers at this conference were such VIPs as chief designers of leading international brands - Fabio Filippini (chief designer Pininfarina - Ferrari, Maserati), Peter Horburny (Volvo chief designer), Anne Asensio (Dassault Systemes, formerly Renault, GM) Andy Wheel (Land Rover chief designer), Ernesto Rupar (Ford Europe). The FGR Midalu motorcycle was here as a representative piece of the Czech design among those worldwide known. The conference was held in the National Technical Library Balling Hall.

Engineering Fair in Brno

Another motorcycle Midalu stay was the 53rd engineering trade fair which is the largest in Central Europe and which traditionally takes place at the Brno Exhibition Centre. The motorcycle participated in the Gold Medal competition, which is declared every year at this fair. During Monday evening ceremony in the presence of the Czech Republic President and the Prime Minister, Mr. Miroslav Felgr was awarded a Honorable Mention for the the category of the Best Innovative exhibit demonstrably made in companies cooperation with Czech research organizations. A total of 25 contestants participated in competitions in four categories. Those interested could see the motorcycle in Hall A1 at the stand 26th. The exhibition ended on Friday 7th October at 4 o’clock pm.

Testing and exhibitions

Motorcycle FGR Midalu was undergoing a testing in those months. On this occasion we stopped for a while in Hradec Králové at the airport due to making of shots for Vehicles Drive show on TV Barrandov, where there will be the whole program about us in November. Soon there will be here on the webside a fresh photo gallery, after the show aired, and a new video presentation. Till the year end, Midalu was at several exhibitions: on 24. 9. AUTOSALON in Usti nad Orlici. On 3. – 7. 10. Engineering Fair Brno, on 20. 10. Prague Exhibition Autodesing, on 8th – 13th 11. EICMA Milan, on 1st - 4th 3. 2012 exhibition in Dortmund - it is still in negotiations

The new Motopoint shop in Prague

In mid-June, another branch of company Motopoint from Nova Paka, our longtime sponsor of racing motorcycles FGR 125 GP, was opened in the Zakrytá Street in Prague 4. Since 2005 they have been supplying top quality chains for our race motorcycles. The invited guests could see the second motorcycle from FPOS joint-stock company and - FGR Midalu, which are supplied with EK chains, and Easton handlebars just from Motopoint company. Nice shop, nice people, good atmosphere. So, as it should be at the start. We wished they had many satisfied customers.

Midalu in Hořice

On the occasion of 75 years anniversary from the first race at the legendary 300 curves of Gustav Havel racing, Hořice depot visitors could see the Midalu motorcycle. FPOS company has been supporting this action for several years and believes that despite the sad ending of the weekend, these races will continue in the coming years.

Successful project delivery

A few days ago, the final opponency proceedings took place in the firm FPOS and it was attended by 10 members, including representatives from Ministry of Industry and Trade. Based on the documentation and on the control of functional prototypes opponency council stated that all intended targets were met and that the project could proceed further according to the given schedule.

Midalu on signs

In late April, the research institute Czech TÜV SÜD awarded a green prototype number, as the motorcycle had successfully passed all tests at Vysoké Mýto Automotodrom. Currently, it gets minor modifications and in the coming weeks we will continue testing, this time on public roads of East Bohemia.
